Combined BS/MS Five-Year Program
5 year Program Curriculum Guide
The Five-Year Format in Digital Forensics replaces the existing Secure Software Systems Five-Year Format concentration. Until the approval process has completed the Graduate School level, applications for the Digital Forensics Five-Year concentration need to be done through the "Secure Software Engineering 5th Year Format" concentration. Applications submitted now for the Secure Software Systems 5th Year Format concentration will automatically be transferred to the new Digital Forensics Five-Year Format concentration in 2011.
Applications to the graduate program must be made in the junior year, no later than March 31st. Admission is awarded to those students accepted into the program at the end of the junior year, and is conditional upon completing undergraduate program requirements.
It is strongly recommended that interested students consult with the Program Coordinator each year, starting with the freshman year, in order to stay on track for admission to this concentration.

- Be enrolled in a baccalaureate program at JMU
- Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or more
- Be on track to complete 99 or more total credit hours by the end of the junior year
