James Madison University

Program History

The concentration in Digital Forensics replaces the previously offered Secure Software Systems concentration. To create a program that is attractive to both students and employers, the Computer Science Department faculty decided in 2010 to approve the change in concentrations. The new curriculum is designed to be a system-oriented, applied program that will provide our students with the skills needed to perform digital investigations in a wide variety of areas, including computer crime investigations, incident response, cyber warfare, and anti-virus research.

The program is enrolling its first set of students in the 2011/2012 academic year.
