Preparatory Sequence

Students with a BA/BS degree but no background in computing can complete a one-year preparatory sequence in computer science to prepare for the M.S. program. Some or all of these courses can be taken at other universities as well.

    * Summer: Introduction to CS/Programming
    * Fall: Advanced Programming, Discrete Math I
    * Spring: Data Structures, Discrete Math II, Computer Organization

Admission to the M.S. program is conditional upon satisfactory completion of all preparatory courses, usually with a grade of B or better.

Students with some background in computing can complete only the portions of the preparatory program which they have not yet completed.
