APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE B.S. DEGREE
The necessary form "Application for a Bachelor's Degree" is obtained from the Office of the Registrar by the student. It is then filled out by the student. The student must then bring the following to the academic advisor:
- The completed "Application for a Bachelor's Degree".
- A CS department graduation requirement checklist
- An unofficial transcript (from e-campus).
The academic advisor checks that (a) Computer Science graduation requirements have been satisfied, (b) if a minor or second-major is claimed, it is already filled out and signed. The academic advisor signs the form. The student delivers the form to Department Office.
When students deliver the form to the Department Office, it is immediately checked for the advisor's signature. If not present, the student is sent with the form to the advisor to obtain the signature.
When students deliver the signed form, the Department Office logs it, prepares a printed transcript and forwards the form and transcript to the Undergraduate Program Coordinator.
The Undergraduate Program Coordinator checks that the graduation requirements have been satisfied and signs the application. The Department Office disperses the copies: one to the Records Office, one with the transcript and a copy of the cover letter to departmental files, one with a cover letter to the student.
