Departmental Scholarships
Curt Foundaton Scholarships are awarded to students exhibit outstanding potential. They are awarded to students at all levels ($1,500 for freshmen, $1,000 for sophomores, $750 for juniors and seniors). Continuing support depends on excellent academic performance. They are supported by gifts from the Walter and Martha Curt Family Foundation.
FGM Scholarships are awarded during the spring semester (for use in the subsequent academic year) to two rising juniors ($3,000 each) and two rising seniors ($2,000 each). They are awarded on the basis of merit. A student that receives an FGM Scholarship as a junior is eligible to receive an FGM scholarship as a senior. They are supported by gifts from
FGM, Inc.
The
Rosetta Stone Scholarship ($2,000) is awarded to an incoming freshman that exhibit outstanding potential. In addition, freshmen scholars are given priority for an internship at Rosetta Stone during their sophomore year. It is supported by gifts from
Rosetta Stone, Inc. (formerly Fairfield Language Technologies, Inc.)
The
Faculty Prize in Computer Science ($500) is awarded during the spring semester (for use in the subsequent academic year) by the faculty in the Department of Computer Science to a newly admitted student, a rising sophomore or a rising junior on the basis of merit (and, perhaps, need). It is supported by an anonymous gift.
Computer Science Departmental Scholarships ($500 - $1,000) are awarded to students at all levels. They are awarded on the basis of merit (and, perhaps, need). They are supported by "directed" gifts to the Computer Science Department.
